What we collect

If you create an account, we collect your email address. If you sign up for proximity alerts, we collect your ZIP code so we can notify you about registered offenders in your area. When you use our chat analyzer, conversation text is sent to our servers temporarily for analysis — it is processed and then discarded unless you explicitly choose to save the results. We do not collect any personal information on the /safe section of this site.

What we don't collect

We do not collect any data from children who use the /safe section. There are no accounts, no forms, and no tracking on those pages. We never sell your data to anyone. There is no third-party advertising or ad-tracking on CantHide.org.

How we use your data

Analysis: Conversation text you submit is processed through our AI analysis pipeline and then discarded. Nothing is stored permanently unless you explicitly save your results to your account.

Alerts: Your email and ZIP code are used solely to send you proximity alert digests about registered offenders in your area. You can unsubscribe at any time.

Account features: Your email is used for authentication, password resets, and account-related communications.

AI Analysis

When you use the chat analyzer, conversation text is sent to the Claude API (provided by Anthropic) for analysis. We do not store submitted conversations on our servers after your session ends unless you explicitly save the results. Registry Data

All sex offender registry data displayed on CantHide.org is sourced from publicly available government registries. We do not create, modify, or editorialize registry data. We aggregate and display it to make it more accessible.

Cookies & Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 on adult-facing pages only to understand how the platform is used and to improve the experience. There are no analytics scripts of any kind on the /safe section. We use only essential cookies required for the site to function (authentication, session management). We do not use advertising cookies.

Your rights

• Delete your account and all associated data at any time from your dashboard.
• Request a full export of any data we hold about you.
• Opt out of proximity alerts and email communications at any time.

Children's Privacy (COPPA)

The /safe section of CantHide.org is designed for children and collects absolutely no personal information. No accounts are required, no names or emails are asked for, and no tracking or analytics scripts run on those pages. We are fully committed to compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, please contact us immediately.
